All three apps are built on top of our rockin’ API. If you too would like to build something cool and happen to be in Boston this weekend, the Music Hack Day Boston sure looks to be a great one. Dave, Johannes and Hannes will be there. They’re probably over the Atlantic right now.
Happy weekend from Berlin everyone! The night is calling.
Together Zenhiser & Soundcloud are making this happen for three lucky music producers. All you need to do is submit your uniquely created samples to the SoundCloud group 'Want To Be A Professional Sample Producer'. On January 1st 2010 the overall best samples will be picked and if those audio samples are yours then you’ll be one of the lucky three joining the Zenhiser team and becoming a professional sound producer. If that wasn’t good enough all three sample producers will be receiving a Pro Max Account upgrade courtesy of Soundcloud and $250 worth of Zenhiser samples for you to choose from the extensive sample library at http://www.zenhiser.com
Competitions like this don’t come along that often so check out the Rules & Regulations and start producing those samples!!!
We’re big fans of the Lot49 label and their forward thinking blend of techno, electro, tech-house and breaks. Label boss Meat Katie is always posting tasty morsels to his SoundCloud page whilst Elite Force was responsible for one of the hottest tracks on SoundCloud so far this year.
So we’re super excited that they’re using SoundCloud to launch a competition for new producers, with the chance to win a 3 single deal with the label (and a bunch of other cool prizes to boot). And everything’s going to be judged by a stellar line up of producers including Timo Maas, Orbital, D Ramirez, James Zabiela, Steve Mac, Dylan Rhymes and the aforementioned Meat Katie.
To enter the competition is quite simple, just write an extraordinarily good and original piece of dance music and submit it to the label via their dedicated dropbox.
There will be 14 finalists chosen who will then go on to the next stage. The overall winner gets all these goodies:
*Also the winners EP will be mastered at the legendary Wired Masters in London by Kev Grainger who has worked with the likes of Steve Angello, Bjork, Erick Morillo, Gilles Peterson and Gary Numan to name but a few.
Plus all the winners will be included on Lot49 Recordings “New Lot Compilation” for release early 2010 as well as a Soundcloud Solo yearly account and any 3 titles from the Loopmasters ARTIST Series (excluding Deadmau5 Xfer).
Chris Stein is both a member of the rock band Blondie and a photographer whose work is featured in Who Shot Rock & Roll. Using DrumCore, he composed Who Shot Drums and Bass, eight tracks in various musical styles. All the tracks are provided under a Creative Commons license for remix! Re-imagine Stein’s music and create something catchy and original.
… we just want to say that SoundCloud just pushed the best release of all time. The best release of all time!
