SoundCloud Spotted: Incubus, The Kills, Foo Fighters, Yoko Ono…

SoundCloud Spotted is our new weekly roundup of the most interesting uses of SoundCloud out on the interwebz. Here you can find all you’ll ever need to know about super cool apps, SoundCloud exclusives and new and exciting SoundClouders!

Premiering a new track or album? There’s always a great way to do this using SoundCloud!

Why not embed a player on your website in the style of Incubus, premiering their new single ‘Adolescents’! They’ve even created a Facebook tab to premiere it too!

Or make use of a great looking SoundCloud artwork player like The Kills to premiere their new album ‘Blood Pressures' …

You could always make use of our open source Premiere App. Fans of the app include the Foo Fighters who are using it to premiere their brand new album ‘Wasting Light.’

Letlive’s ‘Fake History’ is due for re-release on Epitaph Records  on April 11th and Rock Sound are premiering an exclusive stream of the album using the SoundCloud secret widget

When premiering a new track why not add comments and notes to your track aimed directly at your fans? This SoundCloud set is The New Regime's second album 'Speak Through The White Noise' and contains commentary and notes by the outfit's only member Ilan Rubin. Rubin plays, sings, and writes everything you hear!

..and finally, a few more bite-sized bits for you.

Looking for interesting SoundClouders to follow? Here’s a little introduction to Yoko Ono! Listen some great tracks created on trains by Frequent Travelleror keep touch with tracks from Sigur Ros!

Head over to Music4Japan, a lovely looking Virb site featuring SoundCloud API streaming, with all proceeds going to Japan relief efforts.

Cycling enthusiasts?  Check out The Mirror’s (UK tabloid newspaper) cycling blog featuring different tracks about bicycles and cycling!

We’re thrilled to announce today a partnership with Berkleemusic, the online continuing education division of Boston-based Berklee College of Music.
The school has decided to power its online network with SoundCloud features and give over 75,000 members an easy way to upload, share, and receive feedback on music. The integration is possible thanks to the SoundCloud API, which is open for anyone who wants to add audio sharing features to an app or service.
We’re welcoming all Berklee students to the SoundCloud community and we’ll continue to work with Berklee on creating learning material specifically for SoundClouders!

Deutsch Dienstag

Remember last Tuesday when we introduced you to Marie from the community team and how she’s recording the progress she’s making learning Deutsch?

Well it’s Dienstag again, click through and listen to the word Marie learned this week :)

Marie still wins.

marieelliott:

Spinner {m.}

This is one of my new favourite words in German. It means “weirdo”, which is a word I like to use a lot in English.

Word: Spinner
Sentence: Was für ein spinner!

“What a weirdo!” and I mean that in a nice/cool way :)
