This Is Neat Of The Day:
Jen is a film/video creator from the UK and reached out to us with a neat story about how she got to make a video for SoundClouder Josh aka Soulmates Never Die:
I track the name of my hometown on Tumblr and came across Josh’s blog where he hosts a SoundCloud widget with his tracks on. After clicking through and having a good listen, I noticed we had mutual SoundCloud friends as he went to music college with another band I’ve worked with. I use SoundCloud to play music by local artists all the time and really got into Soulmates Never Die. I especially liked being able to click on “watch video” for some of the songs, where Josh had recorded a live version of some songs on what looked like a webcam.
He seemed pretty chill and I liked his sound so I sent him a message on the site to see if he wanted to make a proper music video for his lead track. He said yes, we arranged to meet in a public place and sort of made up the video as we went along!
It was a super fun experience which we owe to awesome websites with wicked people in their community and encouragement to communicate and collaborate.
