Our next update is Kara’s stop in Nikolaev, Ukraine. Listen to the recordings of live performances in the set below by local musicians they had met at a party, like Nikita Khudiakov.
“He’s the singer and songwriter for a band called BazookaBazooka and managed to give us a makeshift performance of some solo material amid the surrounding drunkenness. Accompanied by just an acoustic guitar, his songs and voice were reminiscent of a young Caetano Veloso. He then wrote us a comprehensive list of Ukrainian music to pick up. We spent the rest of the night singing songs, drinking beer and Crimean wine, and talking until the wee hours.”
Sounds like a lovely night, doesn’t it?
