This week on Remixes/Contests/Submissions…

We are celebrating this year’s Gaymers Camden Crawl Festival by giving two lucky users the opportunity to become roving reporters at the event this spring!

VIP tickets and media centre access backstage at the festival are up for grabs for two winners who will have the opportunity to interview a host of the event’s big names. These two winners will have AAA passes for the Crawl’s high-profile media run and have the opportunity to use Soundclouds brand new ‘Record’ function to interview an array of artists and upload the content direct to Soundcloud for all other users to hear.

To enter the competition all you need to do is adopt your preferred radio journalist-style and upload an audio snippet to your profile of you asking ONE question to your dream Gaymers Camden Crawl headliner. Then simply tag it #camdencrawl in the title and hit save.

The two winners will be picked by a leading UK music broadcast journalist as the most original and interesting questions submitted.

To celebrate the release of KOKE VOL. 2, we’ve teamed up with K Koke to launch this amazing rap competition (using our rather great SoundCloud-Remix App, we might add). Submit your rap and show off your skills to Koke and the world! 

The winner of the competition will win the red jacket and cap worn by Koke in the video to ‘Nobody But Us’, a years free SoundCloud Pro account, the chance to get your track heard by Koke, have it promoted across his social networks, and not to mention all the exposure that will come with the competition!

Laptoprockers have announced their biggest competition to date! 

Vanity Theft are looking for entries for their full-length remix album, which they will be putting out this summer and to find them, the all-girl indie pop band from Ohio (USA) have teamed up with Laptoprockers.

To fill the prize pool for this remix contest Laptoprockers have teamed up with Ableton and D16 Group Audio Software, a developer of virtual instruments and FX.

One of Brooklyns finest independent artists and also one of SoundCloud’s longest-timest awesomest supporters saddet has recently launced a unique contest where only people who submit a remix are able to vote for the winners.

The rules are simple. Send a private message to saddet on SoundCloud to get your hands on the stems. Remix the song by May 15th and drop your complete mix into the official SoundCloud contest group!

Mark Zimmerman, founder of Brickwork Recordings, is offering you the chance to show him some deeper knowledge and personal ideas about remixing techno tracks. He’s asking for creative and innovative remixes of his track Crackpot, and his favourite mix will reciveve at least one release on Brickwork Recordings, a yearly Pro Account on Soundcloud and the runners up will receive yearly SoundCloud Lite Accounts.
