    Radiolab, Mozilla and SoundCloud

What do you get when you cross the brilliant podcast Radiolab with Mozilla and SoundCloud?  The Radiolab Hyper Audio Player (v1)!

We are proud to announce we have been involved in an interesting experiment.  Using a segment of Radiolab’s latest show “Desperately Seeking Symmetry”, a JavaScript framework for integrating the web into audio and video productions called Popcornjs, and SoundCloud  - an experimental HTML5 media player has been created!  Now, it is still a demo, but go check it out here:

    http://hyper-audio.org/r/

There’s some pretty cool features in there, for example:

    • Displays images added by Radiolab to the SoundCloud timed commenting
    • Click on the paper icon to see a hyper linked transcript of the show (amazing)
    • The word river - looks cool when there aren’t any images shown

Many thanks to everyone involved and to Henrik Moltke for leading the project, looks like the start of something really special.  Take a look at his blog post on the project for far, far more info!  It’s still an experiment and we’re looking for feedback so let us know what you think!
