SoundCloud Voices is a new weekly Community feature focusing on new spoken word creators found on SoundCloud. It might be a podcast, radio show, audio book, interview, audio messages, a poem, anything! Keep an eye out every Thursday for a new post.
This week we are taking an educational perspective, with two of the biggest education institutions in the world - University College London and Stanford University.
First up UCL who are using SoundCloud to distribute and promote their “Lunch Hour Lectures”, talks from UCL alumni, historical talks, the latest UCL news and all kinds of other academic presentations and findings. The Lunch Hour Lectures in particular are worth a listen; each week members of various departments showcase new research and recent academic publications:
Stanford University’s Entrepreneurship Corner have also started using SoundCloud. ECorner, as it is also known, provide free podcasts featuring entrepreneurship and innovation thought leaders. Here’s a sample of two talks, one from Jack Dorsey of Twitter and Konstantin Guericke cofounder of LinkedIn.
If you are interested in trying out SoundCloud as a spoken word podcast platform we are currently running a beta program which you can sign up for via this form. Successful candidates will be emailed with further details.
