Get Involved! is our home for all things to do with remixes, contests and submissions!
First up this week…
Bleep: Filtered is a brand new Unsigned Competition and Compilation run by taste-making online store Bleep.com. We are partnering with Bleep, their sister company Warp Records as well as Transition Studios to throw a spotlight on the world’s most talented electronic producers!
Filtered will be taking submissions of tracks from producers all over the world over a period of a month via their Filtered Soundcloud group, once these tracks are collected, the tracks will be “filtered” by Bleep staff and the Warp A&R team to form a shortlist from which the final compilation will be created.
Throughout this judging period, Bleep will be posting updates on their Facebook page of some of the best tracks alongside feedback and commentary from the judges, so keep your eyes peeled!
The chosen tracks will be mastered by the world renowned Transition Mastering Studios in London and the final compilation will be revealed in October and will be sold exclusively on Bleep!
Next up this week…
BK-One is giving you the drum track that he created for “Tema Do Canibal” and the horn track recorded by The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble for this brand new remix contest! Use as much or as little of them as you want, and add anything you can dream up (extra points for originality). When you’re done with your creation, upload it to the official Dropbox on Soundcloud. Do anything you want and submit as many different creations as you can think up!
BK-One will personally pick his favorite on August 26th, and the winner will receive a SoundCloud Pro account, copy of the Tema Do Canibal EP, a copy of Rádio Do Canibal, all four stamps designed by Mike 2600, all inside a Rhymesayers cinch bag. The winners track will be uploaded to BK-One’s Soundcloud page and played on RSE Radio, Rhymesayers weekly radio show on KFAI!

One of our favorite singer/songwriters Luke Leighfield and his current partner in crime Jose Vanders are releasing a split EP on 19th September, preceded by a single - a cover of ‘Blindsided’ by Bon Iver, lovely!
To celebrate the release of the single, we’ve teamed up with the terrible twosome to host a remix competition of the single with some killer prizes, including:
- SoundCloud pro account
- SoundCloud lite accounts
- an assortment of CDs and t-shirts from Luke and Jose
To be in with a chance of winning, download the stems here and deposit your finished remixes in this group. You can hear Luke and Jose’s version on SoundCloud.
The competition runs from today (August 15th) until the end of Luke and Jose’s tour (October 12th). Entries will be judged by Luke and Jose, and their parents (seriously). There will be one winner and four runners-up. Viel Glück!
