WOAH. We’ve just stumbled across the Diamond Media 360 distribution page.
These guys are showcasing their releases by integrating an album artwork cover flow to interact with a SoundCloud widget…
Select an album and watch as the music for that corresponding release populates through the SoundCloud widget! Neat!

Want to use a SoundCloud group for something really different? Take a leaf out of Benji Boko's book and use a group as a call to action for people to drop in organic sounds for your projects. Benji has asked the SoundCloud community to send him tracks which he will then use to create, live, one piece of music for our SoundCloud Global Meet Up Day in London!

Wales’ annual new music festival Swn is just around the corner, and to promote the event they’ve reached out to each of the bands, artists and performers attending the festival and asked them to each drop one track into this Swn Festival group!

The advantage of using a group to promote your event is that with the click of a Share button it magically transforms into an embeddable playlist which can be sent out to press, bloggers, sponsors and more!

Head to www.swnfest.com/swn-playlist  for the full experience or simply hit play below for your very own taster of Swn Festival 2011…

(Did you know, Swn is pronounced “soon” and translates into “Sound!”)

D’you wanna be in my group, my group, my group?

This week in SoundCloud Spotted we’re going to be focusing on the use of our groups feature for submissions, interactivity and collaboration!

Our first example comes from Fat Cat Records who use a SoundCloud group to listen to new music sent to them via their Dropbox.

They have a nifty little Group Dropbox widget sitting on their website which bands can click on to link through to their group and submit a track…

…and it doesn’t end there.

Fat Cat even have a dedicated Demo Archive where, even though they can’t sign every band who submits a demo, they can still highlight the best demos they receive and help promote new artists in that way.

If you’re a label, a manager, a blogger or you’re simply receiving more incoming tracks than you can handle, you can use a SoundCloud group to collect these submissions, moderate the content and stream them all from the same place!

Remember, anyone on SoundCloud can start a group, just head to soundcloud.com/groups/new to start your first group, and for a bit more info head here: CLICK
