Tip #7:

Did you know when you first log in, and anytime you go to http://soundcloud.com/dashboard while you’re logged in, you can see your dashboard and change what you see. You can customize what appears there in the settings on the top left, but by default it shows you new tracks shared to you and from people you follow, new activity on your tracks, actions from people you follow, and conversations happening around tracks. You can change what shows up by editing your settings.

Tip #6:

Did you know you can download our official apps for those platforms in our App Gallery to keep up with new tracks and record new sounds directly to the ‘Cloud.

Tip #5:

Did you know when you’re ready to add some of your sounds to the cloud, you have options?

• If you’ve got tracks already recorded, you can upload them right away by hitting the “Upload and Share” button at the top of the page. Here is our 101 on general uploading. 
• If you haven’t yet recorded the sounds you want to share, you might want to record them directly on SoundCloud, or using an app, like the SoundCloud iPhone, that can export to SoundCloud.

If you’re not quite ready to share the tracks yet, you can always mark them as “Private,” to keep it to yourself or a small group you can invite.

Tip #4:

Did you know that your dashboard is a pretty lonely place until you start following people! Here are four great ways to gain a following and an easy guide to find who to follow.

• People Finder : People Finder allows you to discover your Facebook friends that are already on SoundCloud as well as highlighting users who you might be interested in.
• Suggested Users: A list of people who you might find interesting! Including bands, record labels and Sound makers from across the globe.
• Follow People You Know: If you know other people on SoundCloud, you can follow them by clicking the [+] icon next to their name on the site, or the big “+ Start following” button on their profile. 
• Find People in Groups: Check out cool people to follow via the Groups feature!

Tip #3:

Did you know that you can automatically push your new sounds or favorites to other social networks? The ‘Connections’ feature in your account settings will let you save time when sharing your sounds to other social networks like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.

Tip #2:

Did you know using “show advanced search options” in Search is really powerful and you can find what you are looking for easier! 

You can select from downloadable tracks, tracks from certain labels, you can search for podcasts, and you can even find tracks that are long or short in duration. There are so many options when you use the “show advanced search options.” Find what you are looking for today!

Tip #1:

Did you know that you can customize what is shown on your Dashboard page by clicking on the pencil button. You can filter what you’d really like to see (or what not see!) (see picture below)
