Remix STRFKR’s While I’m Alive 

STRFKR always brings strong hooks in tight pop structures. Their label Polyvinyl Records has just launched a remix competition for the Portland-based band’s single While I’m Alive.

First place winner takes home $500, a signed CD & LP of Miracle Mile, plus a Miracle Mile t-shirt. Second place receives a signed CD & LP and t-shirt. More details and access to the groove laden stems right here.

Remix Phoenix’s ‘Trying To Be Cool’ Has Phoenix’s ‘Bankrupt!’ been soundtracking the start to your summer? If so, why not put your own spin on one of the French rocker’s tracks? In partnership with The Creators Project, the band have uploaded the stems of ‘Trying To Be Cool’ to their SoundCloud page, and are collecting remixes in a SoundCloud Group. Once you’ve finished your version of the track, add it to the Group’s DropBox. They’ll be highlighting their favourites on The Creators Project blog. Here are some of the submissions so far.
